Biography

Senator Reynolds is a passionate representative for West Australia. She has over 20 years’ experience at the national political level working for Ministers, Members of Parliament and the Liberal Party of Australia and over 29 years’ experience as an Army Reserve Officer, serving in a wide range of part and full time appointments.  She also has corporate experience in the defence industry and food and grocery industry.

Key career appointments include: Chief of Staff to the Minister for Justice and Customs, Project Director with Raytheon Australia, Deputy Federal Director of the Liberal Party of Australia, Commanding Officer of a Combat Service Support Battalion and Adjutant General of Army, the Chief of Army’s key governance advisor. Senator Reynolds was the first woman in the Australian Army Reserves to be promoted to the rank of Brigadier.  She has recently completed a Master of Arts (Strategic Studies). She was awarded the Conspicuous Service Cross in 2011.

During this 45th Parliament she partakes in nine committees and is currently Chair of the Joint Standing Committee on Electoral Matters and Chair of the Defence Sub-Committee. Senator Reynolds is passionately pursuing Innovation, gender equality, competitive federalism and how to further increase opportunities for defence industries within WA.
