Public hearing on AEC modernisation

The Joint Standing Committee on Electoral Matters will hold a public hearing on Wednesday 6 December 2017 as part of its new inquiry into the Australian Electoral Commission’s Annual Report 2016-17.

  • AEC information technology systems.
  • AEC temporary workforce challenges.
  • Standards for Australian internet voting, electoral cyber security and physical security and voting points.
  • Addressing overly prescriptive parts of the Electoral Act and resolving other technical issues.
